Nursing Services Manager

The Opportunity

This leadership role is responsible for the overall nursing management and clinical governance of the hospital. The Nursing Services Manager will coordinate all aspects of patient care, lead and mentor the nursing team, and ensure the implementation of best practices, compliance, and continuous quality improvement across clinical departments. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and experienced nursing professional to take the lead in driving patient-centred care, operational efficiency, and strategic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the hospital’s nursing services, ensuring quality patient care and adherence to ethical and professional standards

• Oversee recruitment, orientation, training, and performance of nursing staff

• Promote collaboration between nursing, medical, and allied health professionals

• Maintain compliance with clinical governance, health and safety, and infection control protocols

• Manage nursing budgets, control clinical stock usage, and drive cost-effective practices

• Monitor and enhance patient experience through clinical outcomes and stakeholder feedback

• Contribute to strategic planning, business development, and hospital transformation goals

• Drive innovation and change management to improve operational and clinical performance

• Maintain policy and procedure compliance, ensuring effective governance

• Ensure accurate billing, case management, stock control, and record keeping

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with valid SANC registration

• Diploma in General Nursing / BCur Degree

• Post-basic qualification in Nursing Administration (essential)

• Business management qualification (advantageous)

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Nursing Manager or Unit Manager role in the private sector

• Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills

• Demonstrated financial acumen and clinical governance expertise
