As the leading medical recruitment agency in South Africa, our client has an exciting opportunity for an EEG Technician to be based in Pinelands, Western Cape.
The client

The opportunity
The EEG Technician will be responsible for performing electroencephalography studies and supporting the delivery of high-quality neurodiagnostic services. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong technical ability and a commitment to patient care within a specialised clinical setting.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine and specialised EEG recordings, including prolonged and overnight studies
Prepare patients for procedures and ensure their comfort throughout testing
Monitor and record brain activity accurately using EEG equipment
Identify and report abnormalities for clinical interpretation
Maintain accurate records and assist with report preparation
Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of EEG equipment
Adhere to clinical protocols, safety standards and confidentiality requirements
Assist with administrative duties related to neurophysiology services
Collaborate with neurologists and multidisciplinary teams
Requirements:
Qualified EEG Technician registered with HPCSA
Minimum of 1 to 2 years' experience in EEG recording advantageous
Strong understanding of EEG procedures and equipment
Excellent attention to detail and observational skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and within a team
High level of professionalism and patient confidentiality
Willingness to work standard hours and after hours when required
