As the leading medical recruitment agency in South Africa, our client has an exciting opportunity for a Practice Manager to be based in Pinelands, Western Cape.
The client
Our client is a specialised neurology practice providing patient-centred care within a professional clinical environment. The practice is committed to delivering a seamless healthcare experience through efficient systems, strong multidisciplinary collaboration and a high standard of administrative and operational excellence.
The opportunity
This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of a busy neurology practice while ensuring a smooth, efficient and patient-focused experience. The successful candidate will manage operations, coordinate patient care pathways and support both clinical and administrative functions within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Act as the primary point of contact for patients, guiding them through their care journey
Coordinate patient care pathways from initial consultation through to follow-up appointments
Support patients with non-medical queries, including medical aid and billing processes
Manage front desk operations, including welcoming patients and handling enquiries
Oversee appointment scheduling and calendar management using electronic systems
Prepare and manage patient files, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate
Handle correspondence, including report typing, proofreading and communication with referring practitioners
Ensure compliance with POPI requirements in all administrative processes
Oversee daily operations, including financial administration and resource allocation
Manage billing processes, including invoicing, receipting and coding
Liaise with hospitals, healthcare providers and other stakeholders to ensure integrated care
Support practice operations, including office management, stock control and equipment coordination
Requirements:
Matric
Minimum of 3 years' experience in healthcare practice management
Strong computer literacy, including GoodX, Trello, Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of medical aids, billing processes, coding and hospital workflows
Understanding of financial management and basic accounting principles
Self-motivated with strong organisational skills
