Registered Nurse - Australia

Our client is the largest not-for-profit Australian company that provides a wide range of aged care, community care, and healthcare services to the elderly and people with disabilities. They operate across all Australian states and territories and employ around 9,000 staff members, over 70 homes supporting over 3000 residents. Its services include home care, residential aged care, dementia care, respite care, palliative care, and allied health services such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. The company also operates retirement living communities and runs research programs to improve the health and well-being of the elderly and people with disabilities.


Responsibilities:

As a Registered Nurse you play a crucial role in ensuring the health and wellbeing of the residents. The RN works closely with other healthcare professionals to provide personalized care to each resident, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with daily activities such as bathing and dressing. You’ll keep detailed records of each resident's medical history and work with doctors and other healthcare providers to develop and implement care plans. Additionally, nurses in retirement homes provide emotional support and companionship to residents, helping to promote a positive and comfortable living environment. Overall, a nurse in a retirement home is responsible for ensuring that each resident receives the highest quality of care and support possible.


Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of Bachelors, BTech, BCurr degree or higher

  • Valid SANC license

  • Registered with AHPRA or is in the process of Registration (guidance can be given)

  • Sound clinical knowledge with minimum 3 years experience in a hospital setting

  • Long-term commitment to personal and organizational growth

  • Experience in compliance management

  • Strong communication skills and a high command of English language
