The Client

Our client is a renowned private facility specialising in addiction recovery and psychiatric wellness. Located in a tranquil coastal setting, their multidisciplinary team delivers person-centred treatment programs that focus on long-term healing and rehabilitation.


The Opportunity

This is a meaningful opportunity for a Registered Counsellor passionate about working in the addiction and psychiatric space. You’ll form part of a close-knit team providing therapeutic support to individuals navigating complex emotional, psychological, and behavioural challenges.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual and group counselling sessions

  • Participate in the development of tailored treatment plans

  • Deliver psychoeducation workshops and relapse prevention programs

  • Maintain accurate case notes and progress reports

  • Work collaboratively with psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers

  • Support crisis interventions and contribute to aftercare planning

  • Uphold ethical standards and maintain patient confidentiality


Requirements

  • Registered Counsellor qualification with current registration with HPCSA

  • Minimum 1–2 years’ counselling experience in a mental health or addiction setting

  • Strong understanding of addiction, trauma, and dual diagnoses

  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team

  • Compassionate, non-judgmental, and resilient in high-pressure situations
