Medical Receptionist

As the leading medical recruitment agency in South Africa, our client has an exciting opportunity for a Medical Receptionist to be based in Plettenberg Bay.

The Client

Our client is a reputable and well-established rehabilitation facility providing essential support services within a therapeutic environment. They pride themselves on professionalism, compassion, and maintaining a high standard of care for all individuals who enter their centre.

The Opportunity

This role is ideal for a young, energetic all-rounder who can confidently manage front-of-house duties while providing administrative and operational support. While medical reception experience is advantageous, the client is open to candidates from other customer-facing or administrative backgrounds who are organised, professional, and eager to grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all front-of-house operations, including welcoming clients, families, and visitors

• Handle incoming calls, emails, and general enquiries

• Coordinate patient admissions, discharges, and appointment scheduling

• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records

• Perform daily administrative tasks such as filing, data capturing, document preparation, and office organisation

• Support operational functions including supplies management, room readiness, and coordination with internal departments

• Liaise with external service providers when required

• Uphold strict confidentiality and ethical standards

Requirements

• 3 years’ experience as a Medical Receptionist preferred (rehabilitation/mental health/medical experience beneficial)

• Strong administrative and organisational abilities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Calm, empathetic, and professional demeanour

• Proficiency in medical admin systems and basic office software

• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities

Benefits

• Salary: R12,000 – R13,000 per month
