Enrolled Nursing Assistant

As the leading medical recruitment agency in South Africa, our client has an exciting opportunity for an Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary (ENA) to be based in Plettenberg Bay.

The Client

Oasis Rehabilitation Centre is a respected private facility on the Garden Route, offering holistic, person-centred care for individuals on recovery pathways. The multidisciplinary team delivers structured programmes in a calm, therapeutic environment.

The Opportunity

Join a supportive inpatient unit as an Enrolled Nursing Assistant where you’ll provide compassionate bedside care, assist Registered Nurses, and help maintain a safe, therapeutic setting for patients engaged in rehabilitation. This is a shift-based role (including nights/weekends) within a tight-knit clinical team.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver basic nursing care (hygiene, nutrition, mobility and comfort)

• Perform routine observations and accurately document patient status

• Assist with admissions, discharges and patient orientation

• Support medication management under supervision as per scope of practice

• Maintain meticulous records and contribute to handovers

• Uphold infection prevention and control standards

• Respond appropriately to clinical incidents and emergencies (e.g., CPR)

• Liaise with the multidisciplinary team and provide patient/family support

• Monitor ward stock and ensure a clean, orderly environment

Requirements

• Current SANC registration as an Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary (ENA)

• Recognised Nursing Auxiliary qualification

• Experience in rehabilitation, mental health, or acute care (advantageous)

• BLS/CPR competency (or willingness to obtain)

• Strong communication, empathy, and teamwork skills

• Comfortable with shift work and reliable transport to Plettenberg Bay

• Computer literacy and diligent attention to documentation
