As the leading medical recruitment agency in South Africa, our client has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance coach - Clinical (Nurse) based in Pretoria, South Africa. The Quality Assurance coach - Clinical (Nurse) is to deliver high standards of clinical quality and compliance. This role involves monitoring, evaluating, and coaching staff to enhance their performance, improve accuracy, and ensure adherence to policies and regulations. The coach will work closely with team members to identify areas of improvement and develop training programs that promote best practices in pre-authorization processes.
Responsibilities:
Conduct regular audits of pre-authorization cases to ensure compliance with clinical guidelines and policies.
Monitor calls and interactions to assess the quality and accuracy of information provided by staff.
Identify trends and patterns in errors or non-compliance and develop strategies to address them.
Provide one-on-one and group coaching sessions to staff to enhance their clinical knowledge and skills.
Develop and deliver training programs focused on improving clinical quality and adherence to guidelines.
Offer continuous feedback and support to staff to promote professional growth and development
Collaborate with management to set performance goals and benchmarks for the department.
Implement and track performance improvement plans for individuals and teams.
Use data and metrics to measure the effectiveness of coaching and training initiatives.
Ensure that all pre-authorization activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of audits, coaching sessions, and training programs.
Assist in the development and revision of departmental policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Enrolled/Registered Nurse with a valid SANC registration
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience, with at least 2 years in a quality assurance or coaching role within the healthcare industry.
Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of medical terminology.
Excellent coaching, training, and mentoring skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Salary is market related (that includes medical scheme and provident fund)
