As the leading medical recruitment agency in South Africa, our client has an exciting opportunity for a Neurophysiologist based in Olifantsfontein, Centurion, South Africa. The Neurophysiologist is to deliver the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with neurological disorders. Working within our state-of-the-art facility and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, you will conduct specialized neurophysiological tests, interpret results, and provide expert insights to support patient care.
Responsibilities:
Performing tests on patients
Revising results of the tests.
Administration
Perform and interpret neurophysiological tests including electroencephalography (EEG), nerve conduction studies (NCS), electromyography (EMG), and evoked potentials.
Provide intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (IONM) support during neurosurgical procedures to safeguard neural integrity and optimize surgical outcomes.
Maintain accurate patient records, documenting test results, observations, and treatment plans in accordance with regulatory standards and best practices.
Stay abreast of advancements in neurophysiology research, techniques, and technologies, and incorporate new knowledge into clinical practice.
Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences, educational programs, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care delivery and outcomes.
Demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and compassion in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
Requirements:
Min years of experience – 3 years
Qualified in Neurophysiology Technology, Clinical Neurophysiology, or related field.
Registered with HPCSA
Ability to speak Afrikaans and Tswana (advantageous)
Working hours: 07:30 – 16:00
Location: Olifantsfontein, Centurion
