As the leading medical recruitment agency in South Africa, our client has an exciting opportunity for a Sales Coordinator based in Midrand, South Africa. The Sales Coordinator is to handle Sales Coordination work with selected customers and be able to handle Overseas Supplier PO’s and consolidation of shipments from China from various suppliers.
Responsibilities:
Check each request from the customer – look at the whole enquiry and then decide which products to quote. Eg PCR grade items – quote PCR grade products. We have both PCR and standard grades. Also if pipette tips are asked for specific pipette ensure ours are compatible. If not specify and be very specific on quotations what brands are being quoting if differ to request.
Follow up on outstanding issues to completion
Handle Overseas Supplier PO’s and consolidation of shipments from China from various suppliers – Knowledge of which suppliers goods can be consolidated to avoid conflict of interest
Receiving enquiries from customers and preparing quotations (utilizing product knowledge to quote on correct products).
Receiving Purchase orders from Customers and processing of orders.
Handling customer queries related to delivery time, product complaints and working with the team to resolve them timeously.
Calling customers to canvas for business.
Checking all backorder listings for old orders / suggestions of alternatives
Placing order on overseas suppliers
Obtaining Proforma invoices and checking that invoice agrees to PO and giving authority to manufacture.
When goods are ready from various suppliers – consolidate orders into containers – looking at which supplier has how many cbm.
Arranging payment to suppliers.
Ensuring correct documentation (including Telex release) is submitted to the clearing agent for Clearing.
Ensuring correct tariff headings used for clearing.
Arranging delivery of container / shipment and doing visual inspection with the Receiving Department.
Requirements:
Attention to detail a MUST
Must be able to work independently and be part of a team
Self Starter with initiative – a person who can think for themselves and make constructive suggestions where relevant.
Good telephone manner and customer service manner
Strong command in English
Own vehicle is a MUST
Min 5 years experience in a Medical Laboratories or working with Medical Technology
Must have experience in sales coordination and procurement
Must have Diploma in Medical Technology
Salary is market related
Working hours: Mon - Thurs (08h30 - 16h30), Fri (08h30 - 15h00)
