The opportunity
An exciting opportunity is available for a professional, organised and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join a busy medical practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing front-desk operations, patient admissions, appointment scheduling and billing, while ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience for patients.
This is a full-time position with an immediate start.
Key responsibilities
Welcome patients and manage admissions at the main reception.
Accurately capture patient information, admissions and billing using GoodX.
Ensure correct allocation of patients between CAMP and private categories.
Schedule, coordinate and confirm patient appointments.
Assist with the preparation and submission of daily case numbers.
Respond to patient enquiries professionally and compassionately.
Provide administrative support to the Practice Manager.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality.
Requirements
Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
Previous experience in a medical or healthcare reception environment.
Experience working with GoodX would be highly advantageous.
Strong computer literacy and excellent attention to detail.
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional, well-spoken and patient-focused approach.
Ability to manage sensitive situations with discretion and empathy.
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to work independently and remain calm in a busy environment.
Presentable, proactive and reliable.
