The client
Our client is a respected private healthcare provider operating a network of specialised surgical and day clinic facilities across South Africa. They are known for delivering high-quality patient care, efficient clinical operations, and maintaining strong governance and compliance standards within their facilities.
The opportunity
This is an exciting leadership role for an experienced healthcare professional to take full responsibility for the operational and clinical management of a busy surgical day clinic. The Clinic Manager will oversee multidisciplinary teams, ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care, and drive operational efficiency while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Key responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the clinic, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery
Lead, manage and support clinical and administrative staff
Ensure high standards of patient care, safety and satisfaction
Manage budgets, cost control and financial performance of the clinic
Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, policies and accreditation standards
Drive quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance processes
Manage stakeholder relationships, including doctors, patients and external service providers
Oversee stock control, procurement and resource management
Monitor and manage risk, infection control and health and safety standards
Requirements
Bachelors in Nursing NQF 7
Registration with SANC
Proven experience in a healthcare management or clinic/hospital management role
Strong leadership and people management skills
Solid understanding of healthcare operations, financial management and compliance
Excellent communication and organisational skills
