As the leading medical recruitment agency in South Africa, we have a role for a Registered Nurse Theatre Scrub in Welkom who will be responsible for coordinating improved quality nursing care for a large private hospital group.
Responsibilities:
Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi-professional team
Identify, prevent and manage risks to ensure patient safety
Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment
Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions
Create a learning environment that builds staff competence
Ensure that all utilized stock and equipment are accurately charged
Infection prevention and control (IPC) principles and protocols
Pharmacology
Scientific nursing principles and process
Nursing record keeping
Patient assessment skills
Nursing processes and procedures
Develop/ modify a nursing care plan
Relevant nursing legislation
Risk identification
Job Requirements:
Degree / Diploma in General Nursing
Midwifery; Postgraduate certificate/ diploma in Operating Theater
Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
Basic life support trained (ACLS; ATLS; PALS training for specialized wards)
