A role has just become available for a Qualifies RN Theatre based in Cape Town. The role is to work within a hospital setting.
Responsibilities
Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi-professional team
Identify, prevent and manage risks to ensure patient safety
Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment
Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions
Create a learning environment that builds staff competence
Ensure that all utilized stock and equipment are accurately charged
Infection prevention and control (IPC) principles and protocols
Pharmacology
Scientific nursing principles and process
Nursing record keeping
Patient assessment skills
Nursing processes and procedures
Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
Develop/ modify a nursing care plan
Relevant nursing legislation
Basic life support trained (ACLS; ATLS; PALS training for specialized wards)
Risk identification
Requirements
Degree / Diploma in General Nursing
Postgraduate certificate/ diploma in relevant specialty area - theatre
1 year post-graduate qualification experience before placement in a specialized unit
