Receptionist / Practice Manager

As the leading medical recruitment agency in South Africa, our client has an exciting opportunity for a Receptionist / Practice Manager to be based in Olivedale, Johannesburg.

The Client

Our client is a well-established orthopaedic surgical practice based within a private hospital, known for delivering professional, patient-centred care within a busy private healthcare environment.

The Opportunity

This role is ideal for an experienced medical receptionist or practice manager who enjoys being the backbone of a practice. You will oversee daily operations, manage patient interactions, and ensure smooth administrative and billing processes. The successful candidate must be available to start at the beginning of March and have prior experience working on Elixir.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing front-desk operations and patient reception

• Scheduling appointments and managing the surgeon's diary

• Handling patient queries in a professional and empathetic manner

• Medical billing and claims processing using Elixir

• Liaising with medical aids, hospitals, and service providers

• Managing practice administration and day-to-day operations

• Ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with practice procedures

Requirements

• Previous experience as a medical receptionist or practice manager

• Proven experience working on Elixir (non-negotiable)

• Experience within a private medical or specialist practice

• Strong organisational and multitasking skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the role

• Available to start at the beginning of March
