The Opportunity

Working in partnership with the wider multidisciplinary team, you will provide high quality, person-centred assessment and therapy in the inpatient setting.  Problem solving complex presentations and bringing creative solutions to discharge planning challenges will spark your interest and keep you actively learning.  You will support and guide rotational Occupational Therapists and students, and be actively involved in ongoing quality improvement initiatives within the Occupational Therapy service and wider team. Leadership and coordination opportunities are available for those looking for additional challenges.


What will I need?

  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, or equivalent.

  • New Zealand Registration with current annual practising certificate (APC) or ability to gain this in a timely way.

  • Minimum of 2 years clinical practice

Join the team!

You will join a diverse team of acute and subacute Occupational Therapists, and be part of the supportive Allied Health inpatient team.  Our client values Continued Professional Development, mentoring, supervision and on-going training.  You will have access to regular in-service training, special interest working groups, and learning opportunities to develop your clinical, cultural, quality improvement, and leadership skills.  The Occupational Therapy Professional Lead will also support your growth and promote the Occupational Therapy service throughout the hospital.
