Medical Administration Clerk (6 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT)

As the leading medical recruitment agency in South Africa, our client has an exciting opportunity for a Medical Administration Clerk (6 Month Fixed Term Contract) based in Sandton, South Africa.  The Medical Administration Clerk is to deliver expert day-to-day activities related to the overall management of the following workflow categories: Appointment management, Electronic Medical Records management, Patient management, Internal and External Client Relationship management, Schedule management and Unit Administration 


Responsibilities:

  • Answering phones and reception duties

  • Meet patients on arrival and create a welcoming environment

  • Manage patients from arrival to departure

  • Handle difficult patients

  • Diary management and appointments

  • Follow ups with patients

  • Maintain the electronic medical records on Elixir

  • Filing

  • Assisting with adhoc duties as required

  • Manage good relationships with various suppliers, staff and management


Requirements:

  • Matric

  • 2-3 Years appropriate previous experience in a role of similar nature would be advantageous.

  • Sound Clinical knowledge regarding cancer terminology and report handling is a must.

  • Data capturing ability must be proven

  • Must be able to speak, read and write Afrikaans


Location: Sandton

Duration: 6 Months (1 May - 1 November) - Covering maternity leave

Salary is market related
