Clinical Sales Consultant - Theatre Nurse

As the leading medical recruitment agency in South Africa, our client has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Sales Consultant (Theatre Nurse) to be based in Pretoria and Johannesburg.

The client

Our client is a well-established healthcare manufacturing and supply organisation that delivers innovative clinical solutions and medical consumables to hospitals and surgical facilities. They focus on supporting theatre teams with high-quality products and customised solutions to improve efficiency and patient care.

The opportunity

This role is ideal for an experienced theatre nurse who is looking to transition into a clinical sales position. The successful candidate will drive sales activities, build strong relationships with key healthcare stakeholders, provide clinical product training and support, and contribute to the implementation of customised surgical solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Establish, develop and maintain relationships with current and prospective customers to drive business development

• Analyse market trends to identify new sales and business opportunities

• Conduct a minimum of five client calls per day

• Implement and manage sales strategies, objectives and activities

• Report on competitor activities, opportunities and threats

• Participate in marketing events such as seminars, congresses and medical society meetings

• Provide clinical product knowledge and support on drapes, gowns, consumables and customised procedure packs

• Train staff and clients on product use and clinical applications

• Complete weekly sales planning and post-call reporting

• Compile reports on customer needs, interests and potential opportunities

• Assist with cost studies and onsite presentations to hospital management

• Support implementation of reusable solutions and customised operating packs

• Train theatre staff and internal production teams on pack usage and quality control

• Monitor pack efficiency and provide feedback on required changes

Requirements

• Qualified registered nurse with valid SANC registration

• Post-basic qualification in operating theatre nursing will be advantageous

• 5 to 7 years' experience as a theatre scrub nurse

• Previous sales experience will be advantageous

• Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle

• Residing in Johannesburg or Pretoria
