The Pharmacist Assistant will be responsible for the provision of medication and supplementary services to patients and members of the healthcare team.
The Pharmacist Assistant will also assume responsibility for meeting patients needs in a responsible, satisfactory and cost-effective manner.
Relevant Post Basic Qualification
Registration with the SA Pharmacy Council
Must be computer literate
Sound knowledge of private hospital and retail pharmacy business operations.
Knowledge of medical aids advantageous
Dispensing of medication under the direct supervision of a pharmacist to retail customers and hospital in-patients.
Advisory and information service under the supervision of the pharmacist.
Each individual is responsible for their own compliance to regulations as set out by the SA Pharmacy Council
Maintain and sustain effective working relationships with other staff and build relationships with wards.
Conduct related administrative and house-keeping tasks.
Management of related administration tasks pertaining to document flow.
Will be required to work week-ends and evenings based on shifts allocation. And share public holiday shifts.
